Thankyou Willie H, I bought The B7500 new about 3 weeks ago and love the orange.I have a question regarding the B7500,there is no support for the top link(3 point hitch)to hold it up out of the way, when not in use.I have noticed in the photos of the B2410 there is a panel that fits between the tail lights with a clip to hold the top link when not in use.
Could I fit this panel to my B7500?

Yes you can. I have a B7500 on order, and until I saw your message, I didn't realize there was no clip. I checked with my dealer, and the panel (with clip) part number is 6C042-52750 and costs about $31. The four bolts are P/N 01125-50818, but they look like standard metric bolts, nothing special. It will save having to look for the top link every time you need it. ....

Guys, I was running the B7500 around on empty for quite
a while last weekend, thinking if it did konk out, it would
be a simple matter of sticking some more fuel in it.
It did't run out so I topped it up.
I didn't read the owners manual on this issue till after I saw a post about bleeding the system.The issue seems a bit
sparce in the book.
Is this a difficult job to do? and why is it neccessary?

The problem that one is faced with when running the engine dry of fuel, is not so much of the engine running dry as much as the injectors. The reference to bleeding comes into play with the injectors. If the tractor has run out of fuel, for whatever reason, the fuel injectors ultimately were run dry, thereby forcing(injecting) their last bit of fuel into the combustion chamber. Once this occurs, the injectors are now dry, or filled with air.
In order to fire the engine again, these injectors must be bled of the air that was sucked in. The procedure is quite simple, usually only needing to turn a petcock one way or the other and crank the engine a few seconds, which will bleed the air out. Once completed, you reverse the petcock again and the fuel will flow properly. The procedure may have to be repeated, but it is very simple and quite a quick task to perform.

THe moral of the story here is to NEVER let a diesel run dry. Its tough on the injector pump. ....

I could'nt have said it better myself.
Unlike the newer oranges, many of the older ones, (pre early 1980's), did not have fuel gages. They merely came equipped with a semi-transparent plastic fuel tank, and the level was maintained by looking at the side of the tank. This was marginally okay, until age affected the transparency of the tank, and left you wondering just how much fuel you really had left. The only way to check was to unscrew the cap, and look inside, repeatedly.
The newer oranges, came out with a newfangled gadget with a needle indicator afixed > (the fuel gage)...how much simpler life is now!
Whatever the age, the same damage will occur by running the injector pump dry --- try to avoid this at all costs!

WillieH,thankyou I'm understanding these little points
a whole lot better and will be very aware of the fuel level,once again thanks.
I received the Link support panel from the dealer that fits between the tail lights.I had to remove the taillight lenses and do a bit of pushing and pulling of the fenders,finally got the thing bolted in place,looks a whole lot better from the rear and holds that link up.Got a Few scratches!(also noticed that a rear light can be set up on this panel)
